KT’s batting exploded as they avenged the previous day’s loss to Doosan.

KT pounded the opposition mound with 17 hits in a 13-3 victory over Doosan at Suwon Stadium on Wednesday.

KT, which had lost 1-10 the day before, ended a four-game losing streak dating back to the 28th of last month in Daegu with the victory.메이저사이트

KT manager Lee Kang-cheol made a number of changes to his first-team roster. Pitchers Lee Chae-ho and Kim Jung-woon, outfielders Lee Si-won and Hong Hyun-bin, and infielder Oh Yoon-seok were removed from the first team roster, and five new players were added: infielder Hwang Jae-gyun, pitchers Lee Sang-dong and Park Se-jin, and outfielders Jung Jun-young and Ahn Chi-young.

“Hwang Jae-gyun was called up because he was fit,” said Lee Kang-cheol before the game, “I think I gave the other players the chance they deserved, and there wasn’t much change, so I called up players with good reports.”

“I want them to stick to the basics now,” said Lee, who unusually watched the players train after the game the day before.

Perhaps spurred on by the roster changes, KT’s batting lineup caught fire early in the game. The starting line-up consisted of Kim Min-hyuk (left fielder), Kim Sang-soo (shortstop), Kang Baek-ho (designated hitter), Park Byung-ho (first baseman), Jang Sung-woo (catcher), Hwang Jae-gyun (third baseman), Lee Ho-yeon (second baseman), Bae Jeong-dae (centre fielder) and Ahn Chi-young (right fielder).

After taking the lead in the second inning on Ahn Chi-young’s sacrifice fly to right field, KT added four runs in the third on Kang Baek-ho’s RBI triple, Park Byung-ho’s RBI double and Jang Jang-woo’s two-run homer.

Doosan gave up three runs in the top of the fourth inning, but KT came back with three runs in the bottom of the inning on back-to-back doubles by Kim Sang-soo and Kang Baek-ho.

In the fifth inning, Doosan’s bullpen struggles led to an RBI double by Kang Baek-ho and an RBI single by Park Byung-ho to make it 12-3, effectively sealing the win. In the bottom of the seventh, Hwang Jae-gyun’s sacrifice fly to left field made it a 10-run game. For the second time this season, KT hit for the cycle with all of its starters.

Kim Sang-soo went 4-for-3 with a double, one walk, one RBI and three runs scored, Kang Baek-ho went 3-for-3 with a double, four RBI and one run scored, Park Byung-ho went 4-for-2 with a double, three RBI and one run scored and Jang Jang-woo went 4-for-2 with a double, one home run, two RBI and two runs scored.

On the mound, starting pitcher Wes Benjamin went 4.1 innings, striking out eight and allowing three runs. It was the first time this season that Benjamin recorded eight strikeouts.

The bullpen of Park Young-hyun (1.2 innings), Kim Min-soo (1 inning), Joo Kwon (1 inning) and Park Se-jin (1 inning) secured the win. Park earned his first career win.
