Fazari Ananarukarn (THAILAND) has been crowned Match Queen on the Women’s Professional Golf (LPGA) Tour.

Ananarukarn won the final round of the LPGA Tour’s Bank of Hope Match Play ($1.5 million purse) by three shots over Ayaka Furue (Japan) at Shadow Creek GC (par-72) in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, on 29 September.

It was the second win in two years for Ananarukarn, who won her first LPGA Tour title at the Handa World Invitational in 2021. She is the first Thai player to win an LPGA Tour event this season.

Annanarukarn finished the group stage with a 2-1 record, advancing to the round of 16 on a tiebreaker. But from the round of 16 to the final, Pajuk won four straight to take the title.메이저사이트

After defeating her Round of 16 opponent Cheyenne Knight (USA) in three holes, Ananarukarn also shut out Carlota Zimda (Spain) in three holes in the quarter-finals to reach the last four.

In the semi-finals, she held off a late surge from Lynn Grant (SWE), last year’s European Ladies European Tour (LET) money winner and a newcomer to the LPGA Tour, by three shots.

The final was evenly matched until the sixth hole, when they both won by two. The tide began to turn in her favour with a birdie at the seventh.

With a one-hole lead, she birdied the 12th (par-4) to extend her lead to two and then birdied the 17th (par-3) to seal the deal.

Hurue, who also reached the final last year before losing to Ji-hee Lee (37-Hanwha Q CELLS), had to settle for runner-up for the second year in a row. Hurue was a strong favourite to win the title after six straight wins for Pajuk leading up to the final.
