The Doosan Bears snapped a three-game losing streak with a 3-2 victory over the KIA Tigers.
Doosan won its final game of the week on Nov. 11 at home against KIA at Jamsil Stadium, thanks to Kwak Bin’s six innings of two-run ball.
Doosan took the lead in the first inning. Jung Soo-bin and Kim Dae-hyun drew back-to-back walks, and with runners on first and third, Yang Yang-ji hit a sacrifice fly to center field to bring home Jung Soo-bin.
Doosan scored two runs in the fourth inning to take the lead for good. Park Kye-beom led off with a walk and Kang Seung-ho followed with a triple up the middle, and Lee Yoo-chan’s grounder to the shortstop with runners on first and third brought home Kang Seung-ho for a 3-0 lead.토토사이트
Doosan gave up two runs in the fifth inning to Kia’s Park Chan-ho on a double to left field, but held on to the one-run lead for the remainder of the inning to secure the win.
After the game, Doosan head coach Lee Seung-yeop praised the pitching staff for protecting the one-run lead, saying, “Starting pitcher Kwak Bin did his job perfectly by taking charge until the sixth inning, and Lee Young-ha and Hong Gun-hee also pitched well without giving up a hit.”
At the plate, Jung Soo-bin went 4-for-3, Kim Dae-ki went 4-for-1, Kang Seung-ho went 3-for-1 with one RBI, and Lee Yoo-chan went 3-for-1 with one RBI.
“In the batting lineup, Kang Seung-ho hit with a confident swing and scored a valuable run with a bold run,” said Lee, “and all the players showed their will to win in a crucial game that could have extended our losing streak.”
