Brandon Grace (South Africa) took first place alone on the first day of the 6th LIV Golf Tournament (total prize money of $25 million) in the 2023 season.
On the 13th (Korean time), in the first round of the tournament held at Cedar Ridge Country Club (par 70, 7,119 yards) in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA, Grace hit 9 birdies and recorded 9 under par 61 strokes.
Grace, who led the tied second place players by two strokes, is aiming for her second career victory in the LIV series following the second competition in July of last year.
The LIV series gives the winner of the individual competition a prize of 4 million dollars (approximately 5.37 billion won).
Following Grace, Dustin Johnson and Brendan Steele (above USA) are tied for second place with a 7 under par 63 strokes.
Taylor Gooch (USA), who recently won the 4th and 5th competitions in a row, finished the first day with a 2 under par 68 and a tie for 18th place.
After holding the 4th tournament in Australia and the 5th tournament in Singapore, LIV Golf is holding this tournament again in the United States.
