American Professional Basketball (NBA) Memphis Grizzlies are not planning to capture veteran swingman Dylan Brooks (27).

Local media such as ‘The Athletic’ quoted sources on the 3rd (Korean time) and said that Memphis would not renew the contract with Brooks.

Brooks is eligible for unrestricted free agency after this season. It is said that it is the policy of the Memphis club not to re-sign him ‘under any circumstances’.

Brooks played 345 NBA seasons for one team in Memphis. He played in 73 games this season, averaging 14.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 30.3 minutes played.

He averaged 10.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists in six games in the first round of the playoffs with the LA Lakers. He had a field goal success rate of 31.2% and three-pointers only 23.8%.

He seemed to focus more on the outside battle, making remarks such as “old” and “looking tired” about his opponent’s star, LeBron James.크크크벳

He was a complete loser on the court. In Game 3, he hit LeBron’s vital point and was ejected, and in Game 4, he failed to defend LeBron properly and provided an excuse for a come-from-behind defeat. He was fined $25,000 by league officials for refusing an interview after losing the game and leaving the field first.

According to The Athletic, his performance in the playoffs was a major factor in his decision.

The Grizzlies club, which had proposed a contract extension at the beginning of the season, notified Brooks of the impossibility of renewing the contract at the end of the season meeting, and both sides came to the conclusion that starting anew was the best option.

Brooks is notorious for being rough on the court. Last season, he was suspended for striking Gary Payton Jr. in the conference semifinals against the Golden State Warriors.
