The Phoenix Suns’ offseason goals are clear. They’re adding to their coaching staff.

The Phoenix Suns have hired former Memphis-New York head coach David Fizdale as their head coach, according to a report on Monday (6 June).

Phoenix is a team with a lot of big names, including Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, DeAndre Ayton, and Chris Paul. However, they failed to show any cohesion last season and were eliminated from the Western Conference playoffs early.메이저놀이터

This was partly due to poor performances from the players, but also a lack of preparation from the coaching staff. Losing in the seventh round of the playoffs for the second straight season was particularly unacceptable.

At the end of the season, head coach Monty Williams was fired and the coaching staff was completely rebuilt.

Head coach Kevin Young, who had been tipped for a head coaching promotion, was retained and Frank Vogel, who led the team to the 2020 Finals, was brought in as the new head coach. To top it all off, the team added former head coach David Fizdale to the coaching staff.

Fizdale is a veteran NBA coach, having coached since 2003, most recently as head coach of Memphis (2016-2017) and New York (2018-2019).

He and Vogel have worked together as head coach and assistant coach with the Lakers since 2021. Fizdale was working in the front office of the Utah Jazz after being fired in New York, and Vogel reportedly approached him about returning to the coaching ranks.

This completes a stellar coaching staff for Phoenix that includes Vogel, Kevin Young, and Fizdale. It’s enough to make you hope for a rebound next season.
